‘Enclosures’- an installation by French artist Charles Matton.

From 1985 until his death in 2008, Charles Matton created mixed media works which defy easy classification. Theatrical, atmospheric, meticulously constructed, his small scale interiors are housed in see through boxes with glass fronts.

The miniature spaces represent real world interiors and revisited memories from Matton’s own life, as well as other recognizable places such as Francis Bacon’s studio, or the library of his close friend Jean Baudrillard.

Georgous Needle Felted Epherma

It’s darling, isn’t it? I never would have thought at a mere glance that this was wool! They’re needle felted, which is essentially a very intricate “sculpting” of the wool with a sharp barbed needle.

I particularly like this little scene:

The shop is Foxtail Creek on Etsy; it’s worth a look if you’re in the market for something truly eclectic and collectible.

Awesome! Perfect for people lacking a green thumb (my mom, cough cough) to have a mini “garden” on the shelf.

Oh, this is great. I always had a soft spot for Pride and Prejudice, so I love this character chart. Definitely check out the rest of the prints on their cafepress site.

O, lookit! Sara Harvey’s apartment is so totally cute. I’m loving the color gradiation in her shelves of toys, not to mention the display. NOT to mention that rug! That dining table!

nerdabouttown:

Oh. My. Gosh. I can’t believe I’m just finding this. Have you seen this? Artist Sara Harvey not only has an amazing toy collection in her home (and some slammin’ interior design sensibilities) but she’s posting a photo a day of each of her toys.

I personally love toys and looking at other peoples’ collections. This is just really fun to me. Check out her etsy page as well! Great artwork.
