Great how-to with pictures on creating your own lamp out of stacked books. It’s so unique and interesting… not like I haven’t given myself positively dozens of projects to try though.

Simplest way to decorate for the holidays: stuff Christmas lights into your empty wine bottles. Lucky for us we drink a lot of wine!

While my roommate’s cat prefers to sleep on my face or on the radiator, this DIY project is an awesome idea. Take a vintage suitcase, repurpose it, and voila! A quirky and attractive pet bed!

This is seriously a great wall sconce/toothbrush holder/vase/doo-dad holder. It’d be a great DIY project, but seriously, if you’re as lazy as I am, maybe it’s just better to order it from BlackForestCottage on Etsy. I mean, it’s already done….

This is a great idea for anyone interested in growing herbs in their kitchen AND saving counter space (which is a premium in Brooklyn).

Sometimes you see something that looks so cool and it’s so simple and obvious to make you feel like a schmuck for not coming up with it first.
